15. PURPLE PATCH

As the FootyMaths Tips are in the midst of a purple patch, the Dockers good run is spluttering to an end. Two losses from 5 games and less than convincing wins over the Suns, Magpies and Lions have the Fremantle on the wane.

From those 5 games have come a loss of 93 ranking points, which is about 7% of their ranking.
This flattening out of performance now might just be a mid-season lull, or it could be the sort of reminder tat they need to lift for a Grand Final tilt.

For the FootyMaths tips, The Richmond tip was the third this year exactly on the margin, and this week was a solid 8 from 9 correct tips.
More than that, this week also was the fifth week out of the last seven where the total difference between margin tipped and actual was sub 30 points, which is under the 2015 goal.
It was also a week where 4 games were tipped to within 12 points, which is a reasonable result.

To the standings, and North Melbourne and Collingwood climb up on the back of Geelong and Adelaide losing.

The Magpies remain win-less in July, but move to 8th on the back of 'honourable losses' where they performed better than expected.

Which must make them so happy!
