As it turns out, the tips were all but perfect.
A score of 8 from the 9 games was achieved, and in margin terms, the results were all under 21 points, bar the Hawks blow-out.
And with another sub 30 MAE, its 6 of the last 8 weeks with (reasonably) accurate tipping. At least, under the target set.
|PREDICTED RESULT||ACTUAL RESULT||RATINGS ADJUSTMENTS|
|North Melbourne||by||18||pts||North Melbourne||by||25||pts||North Melbourne||+5||Essendon||-21|
|West Coast||by||10||pts||West Coast||by||31||pts||Collingwood||-8||West Coast||+16|
|Port Adelaide||by||6||pts||Adelaide||by||3||pts||Port Adelaide||-13||Adelaide||+3|
Worth noting Fremantle win again, but in a struggle against the inferior Carlton. So thats
6 weeks in a row where they haven't met expectations. The mid-season Purple Malaise continues.
Also worth noting, Hawthorn have destroyed both viable contenders in the last two weeks. They meet 2nd placed West Coast and 5th placed Richmond in the next three weeks.
It will be interesting to see what those contenders can throw at the Hawks, who are now on 1494 points, their highest ranking for the season. Can they be stopped?
To the rankings table:
Essendon and Gold Coast both slip two spots, the Dons to 13th and under 1000 points, and the Suns to second last.
